DayZ

With the DayZ standalone playable alpha release looming, I thought I would check out the mod version of the game. http://dayzdev.tumblr.com/

If you dont know, DayZ is an open world survival zombie game modification based off of the military sim ArmA 2 games. www.dayzmod.com

Basically its hardcore mode survival against zombies and even more dangerous, other players.

I have been watching vids for months and took advantage of a steam sale today to pick up ArmA 2.

Anyone playing DayZ right now? Servers? Thoughts? I have a teamspeak we can use!

I will be getting in soon.

I've been busy.

I bought a bunch of purses from a liquidator and selling them on ebay. I am shocked at how fast they are selling. I can seriously make a business out of this. It's been taking up all my internet time.
Looking to buy a bunch of refurbed ipads next. Chaching.

What processor do you guys recommend for playing DayZ? On the website it recommends AMD. I know it is a CPU heavy game, so I want to make sure to get the best fit for DayZ.

Depends on your budget. If money is no object, intel is better. But my 109$ fx6300 cannot be beat for dollar value.

I would say minimum I recommend is an AMD FX-6300 like bigbeuford is using.

Beyond that anything I-5+ from the sandy bridge family or newer on the intel side will work fine.

Tragedy struck yesterday. I started cavorting around the town and finding sweet loot. The. I fell off the top off the roof of the school. Luckily I spawned back in the same town, but I couldn't find my body. It's all good though. I found 3 handguns, a double barreled rifle, and other goodies.
