It's actually different for different states. On the west coast people don't consider it the passing lane at all except for courtesy reasons. It's normal for people to just stay in that lane all the time.

I don't know if it's different laws from state/state or province/province of just attitudes? I have always found drivers in the States to be pretty good about the left lane. Up here you will come across people doing 10km under the speed limit. You can literally watch 15-20 people pass them and half of them giving them the finger...........and they will drive in that lane for literally 2 hours and never move.

That's what causes accidents.

Yup, we just call the left lane the fast lane, not the passing lane. To stay in it you just have to be going faster than the cars in the other lanes to your right. Of course, it is common courtesy for you to move out of the lane if someone is trying to drive significantly faster and you have room to move over and let them pass.

By no means am I saying the woman didn't do anything wrong. What she is doing is infuriating and completely dangerous. However, the dude isn't in the right either. No matter what this bitch did, never should you speed up next to her to flip her the bird, and then punch it just to find yourself swerving out of control and endangering everyone in the opposite lane.

Which person is dumber or more in the wrong is totally up to opinion and I'm in no position to cast judgment on either of these people. As I said before, the dude's a dumbass and the girl's a bitch.
