The guy throws the ball down the field less than Matt Cassel.
Significantly less. This is will all end up in tears.

The saving grace of the big picture?
Andy Reid gave Mike Vick a 100 million dollar contract in August of 2011 and benched him in mid 2012 for a rookie third round pick. He made an equally large investment in Kevin Kolb as we have with Alex Smith and moved on to Mike Vick. The guy isn't afraid to admit his own mistakes by actions. |

Remember when Cassel had the game of his life against the Titans?

Alex Smith basically NEVER has games like that. But he had ONE and the true fans have been chafing their dicks over it for 48 hours.

the fact that you are wrong about most things says it might be better than you say....when you go full throttle for someone, they bust or turn to crap.

I'm not wrong. Go look at his damn game logs if you don't believe me. Fewer 300-yard games than Cassel, for ****'s sake.

FYI: we barely threw b/c we had a dynamic running game with Gore/Hunter and controlled the clock and just bled teams to death. We owned high powered offenses b/c we made their QB sit on the sidelines and watch. WHEN Alex did have to ball out he usually did (6 come back wins last year alone). He came from a spread offense. His 8.0 YPA is 3rd...to Colin's 8.3. While we lost a lot of experience with CK in there (esp. on the last 4 plays of the Superbowl and RZ), CK had an added element of athleticism that, well, nobody else really has (a couple). His intangibles are off the charts as well. But don't sleep on Alex's mobility either! Alex will take a sack, he won't make risky throws but in Reid's offense, with a good pass blocking line and a more traditional WCO you could see a much bigger rise in overall numbers. We ran an Anti-WCO in SF. In Reid's offense, you'll have one or two deeper threats, a TE as an option and the RB's as an outlet. No doubt, he is perfect for Reid's WCO. As to the rest/most of your fan base in here, threatening to kill each other, referencing Reid's other suicidal kid, AIDS, cheering injured players, etc...sad. Absolutely pathetic and classless. You had many Niner fans willing to come over and support Alex and your team. and give you an objective perspective who know Alex better than anyone. Good luck Alex! |

Which is something we never asked for. Besides, we know Alex Smith plenty well. It's not a complicated subject.

Yeah, the 49ers really resembled a team emphasizing a ZBS and vertical philosophies.
You're a ****ing moron.
