kinda long but its a great story of a german fighter pilot who allowed a b52 to survive and the pilots of both planes met later in life.

This made me think...
If you have the enemy in your sites and let them live, and they go on to later kill one of your own countrymen, are you then not partially, if not totally, responsible for the death of your own countrymen?
