Video Games Backbreaker: Football game that will compete with EA - Page 5

I've been following the progress on this game for at least a year now and it's finally coming out. It looks very promising and I think it will compete with the evil madden despite the ridiculous NFL license.

This will be a football game unlike any you have ever seen. I'm extremely excited for this, it's going to have franchise, online and other features. The game engine looks very smooth and I really do have high hopes for this one. Everybody is going to say it will fail because of the NFL license, but if you are a fan of playing football games, than the NFL license won't be that important. I just hope that the online play is as good as 2Ks and they have a system in place to make it a good experience.

Not true at all. I bought every Madden that has ever came out. I stopped liking the game about 5 years ago, but I keep buying it anyways because I want to like it and every year I think that I will. The o-line is a joke, most of the time they just stand there with their arms up while the d-lineman run right around them untouched. Players morph through each other. The FB, no matter how good he is, never blocks anybody. The gameplay is awful in Madden and I'm not bashing it just because I want to bash it. I'm bashing it because it's a terrible game and 2K was far superior as far as gameplay goes. Madden 2010 beats 2K with graphics, but that's it really.

Wow, really?

I'm still playing Madden 2008 on the PC. Fullbacks definitely block.

It's scary to think that EA is going backwards.

Don't give me that crap. It's been like this for 5 years in a row with no fix to it, that's what bothers me. Every game has it's glitches, but they don't ever fix the main issues with the gameplay. They give you new rosters, enhanced graphics and an extra feature with the same broken engine year after year. You think I'm some sort of fanboy for 2K, I'm not.

And thats what sucks about the NFL exclusive. WE got nothing after that, cuase if it isnt a NFL game its not going to profit.
