I wish I had 30 hrs left, I have 68. I'm really kicking myself for goofing off my first couple years. I would have 34 if I wasn't an education major. If I try and take 15 from here on out with 8 hours of summer class I'll be done in two years.

I would've been done probably a year ago or so if i never got sick and had to miss a year. It sucks but keep working your ass off and you'll get done.

I just got home from buying books, and was going to start a rant thread about the cost....looks like I don't have it nearly as bad as some of you. $509 for 5 books.
I'm still working on core classes, and am taking 15 credit hours - MFW from 8am-11am, then a 1 hour break, then classes from Noon-2pm. Completely off on Tuesday/Thursday. I took all my "fun" classes early, which is becoming quite the PITA now - stuck with a math class, Art Appreciation, Sociology, Astronomy and a Logic course. Neither of the 2 EDU classes I needed were offered this semester - that kinda screwed me as well. I'm dropping down to part-time work while I'm in class, and am applying for an internship with one of the local professional sports franchises this week - my wife has a good friend on the inside - hope it helps - I'd kill to get my foot in the door. I actually need to start a thread on creating a kick ass cover letter....I've been lucky enough to not have to do it recently. Any suggestions before I crank out a new thread? |

You mean the subject-matter classes that will become the core of your career and work for the next 40 years?

So far:
Junior-Senior History Seminar: Exploring the West Elementary Logic Intro to Economics Classical Political Theory Campaigns, Communication, and the Media I also want to take Constitutional Law, but I don't think I'm signed up for it. If I get into that, I'd drop probably Campaigns, Communication, and the Media. I also want to take Classical Civilization, but I'm definitely not signed up for it. If I get into that, I'd probably drop Intro to Economics or the Seminar. |
