Was just catching up on everything at gopowercat.com and Rob (from the staff) spoke with and had a few quotes from his mother. "No.....there was no signed LOI" and the killer "we were much smarter than that. We have known for a long time there were problems already."

This shit stems back to Dalonte Hill. He and Currie have butted heads at every turn. Clash of egos with one man wanting to push it to the limits and another guy trying to exude squeaky clean.

We don't have all the details, but this whole thing is ****ed for K-State basketball. Maybe with the new facilities and a renewed passion from the fan base and K-State being relevant again will bring in a quality coach. It doesn't matter with regards to the next couple seasons. We have no recruiting class coming in and who the hell knows what will happen with Angel, Gipson, and Diaz. Gonna be a rough road in the near future.

I will also say a few things about Frank Martin. I've never seen a program with as much inner turmoil as I have with Frank's BB program. You've got him suspending players, players leaving in droves (which is why he's never had an upper classmen laden team), and his teams have never been consistent. Dude has gone Hollywood and I am completely indifferent about whether he stays or goes. Every year there is flirtation with other schools to advance the cause of nothing but "Frank." His constant talk about loyalty has been a sham (which I've believed for years).

I'm just sick of the drama. I want to have a stable consistent winning basketball program which is attainable........and attainable at K-State (especially with the new facilities and commitment to BB). The new hire probably won't be sexy, but lets hope it is solid. Frank Martin has made K-State extremely popular and put them back on the map. The media loves him because he acts like a clown on the sidelines and can give a good quote.......and he won. I don't know what will happen in the short or long term, but one thing is for sure. We'll see who the right guy really is/was..........Currie or Martin.
