Or do they even get blacked out? I know FSN has blacked out 3 of the 5 games so far this year in Des Moines.

And apparently not, as I said, since the Des Moines district of Mediacom has been blacked out 3 times this week. Apparently the "local" area is 6 hours away... |

Blargh... So this service is useless to me. If they're blacked out on FSN, I still won't be able to watch them. Unless there is a way to fudge my zip code? Or does it go by your billing address?

MLB. TV can suck on my balls as far as I'm concerned. Bastards black out the Royals here in Scottsbluff. I'm fucking 630 miles away and living in the Rockies TV area. Yet the Royals are blacked out. I can choose to watch every other team BUT the Royals.

Pretty sure it goes by your IP location. I have tried logging onto a friends account who lives in LA and the local games are still blacked out.

What output do you have from your computer? If you don't mind getting not-amazing-quality-sound, I just use my DVI-HDMI cable that I bought from Monoprice.com and connect my PC to my TV. Then, I just bring my PC speakers and put them on by the TV.

Hey Hootie.
Try something called PS3MediaServer Its pretty awesome. Not sure if you can stream mlb.tv, you'd have to check. But this is free and well worth it. http://code.google.com/p/ps3mediaserver/ This is one of the things it supports "Internet TV / Web Radio support with VLC, MEncoder or MPlayer " |

That really sucks. My piece of shit HP laptop just had it's wireless adapter go bad and it needs to go in for service. 3rd time in less than 2 years due to shitty manufacturing. I wish those bastards would just ship me a new one already. I guess I'll have to wait. So basically with that patch you can surf the web on your ps3 to the same capacity as a pc? I could watch the Chiefs streams this year on my Plasma? |

I know nothing about PS3, but mlb.tv is just a flash page loaded in a browser. So, if you can show a browser and view flash on the PS3, no reason it wouldn't work.
