I don't know. But if you find out what it was, and then fix it, Davis is one hell of a tight end that presents all sorts of match up problems for opposing defenses. And say what you want about Smith and WR's, but he can use the **** out of Davis.
You have made this argument before, and it simply does not hold any weight. You are flat out wrong.

Vernon 2012 with Alex: 26 catches, 380 yards, 4 TDs (7.4 games)
Vernon 2012 with Colin: 28 catches, 422 yards, 2 TDs (8.77 games)

Crabtree 2012 with Alex: 43 catches, 449 yards, 4 TDs (8.4 games)
Crabtree 2012 with Colin: 62 catches, 891 yards, 8 TDs (10.6 games)

Vernon's stats did go down slightly when Alex left. But they didn't go down nearly as much as Crabtree's went up, regardless of how bad you want to believe that.

I'm confused...are you adding play-off games to the stats for Colin? Seriously apples to apples much?

Comparing all games played in 2012 where Crab/Vernon played with Alex versus all games played in 2012 where Crab/Vernon played with Colin.

Dont see the issue in doing this.

One everyone comes out to play in the play-offs...but that aside....comparing 7 and 8 games vs 8 and 10 games?

That's gotta create all kinds of statistical skewing. I'm not even arguing with your opinion yet...but your facts suck.

32% of Kaepernick's passes were thrown to Crabtree in 2012 + playoffs

If KC did that this season Bowe would of got 9.86 per game instead of his 6.4

Smith was completing 69% and 72% of throws to Vernon and Crabtree.

The offense was not more productive when Crabtree got targets like he was Calvin Johnson.

The offense played a string of mediocre at best defenses in the playoffs and they had a good run. It was a mirage as 2013 and 2014 showed.

A mirage that lead to a championship game in 2013? Nevermind they lost...they were there. That's a mirage? . Puhlease. 2014 they had something like 18 players on injured reserve...and a front office sabotaging their head coach...they still went 500.

What are you babbling about?

Passing offense in 2013 was same yards per game as 2011. Offense in 2014 scored same as the year that got Singeltary fired.

Please argue Harbaugh / Kaepernick should still have their balls washed?

Top 5 defense in 2013 and a good defense in 2014 that had 16 more takeaways than KC had something to do with the 49ers success. Also had more good luck than bad.

I don't disagree that the offense was disappointing even though they were ranked 11th in points (2013). The passing game was ranked 20th in yards and the rushing game was ranked 3rd. What I disagreed with was that the team was a mirage. They had an above average offense that year and a great D.

2013 they had the 9th strongest SOS and in the play offs they played GB no D, Carolina has a good D, and lost a close one to Seattle in Seattle who had arguably the best D in the nfl. In fact, they scored more points on Seattle in Seattle than the #1 offense in the NFL did against them in neutral territory in the superbowl.

Was that babble loud enough for you?
