I don't know what to say. Jan 26th will be one year since I was in that boat.
My dad died very suddenly. I am not sure if fast or slow is better.
Still hurts-even typing this, I am thinking of that and you.

You may not want many suggestions, but here is what I did.

Many years ago, my mother in law died after a battle with cancer. Her brother was an English professor and great writer. He wrote the sermon/eulogy for the funeral. It was unlike anything I have heard.

I told myself that everyone should go out like that. The pastor at our church didn't really want to focus on dad and his life. My eulogy talked about dad, his life and how he lived. It helped me and gave a lasting tribute to a great person.

If you have it in you, write about your dad. Tell his story. He deserves it.

Stay strong.
