And?

One could make the case that it's the system not the player here. I don't think so, I like Goff, but that lien of thinking is out there.

I get that, I do, but most of the people who don't like him are the same ones that like Carson Wentz when in reality I'm really not sure how anyone can come to the conclusion that Wentz is so much better.

True... aside from the rookie year, he's improved YOY. Also helps that they flashed the cash to bring in a ton of help. Overall though, he's performed well.

Sets one hell of a floor for the Mahomes negotiations after 2019.

Elway would give his entire ballsack to find a QB half that good.

I am not a Wentz fan mostly because so far he has shown to be injury prone.

The rest I agree with though.
Wentz and Goff are both in outstanding situations. Goff has one of the best coaches in the league who could be with him his entire career.
Wentz possibly could too.

It’s so important to have that stability bc it will make everyone look better. Aaron Rodgers is the prime example of not having the best support behind him and being wasted.

It was necessary for them.

Wentz is just better though. Injuries notwithstanding, my eyes tell me Wentz can do more by himself to shoulder the load than Goff.

Goff did Captain a team to a SB and that’s worth something. It’s also worth something, that in that SB, once Goff’s genius offensive head coach was neutralized by an equally brilliant defensive head coach, Goff turned in probably the worst QB performance in a SB of all time.

I would have waited. His stock will probably go down, and you will save cap, if it goes up the extra paid to him will be a small percentage.

They were trying to beat Dak getting a deal since Dak is shooting for a huge number.

Goff is ****ing good, don't be silly.

Personally, I wonder if the Chiefs can actually keep the AAV on Mahomes' contract lower by fully guaranteeing it. Because they should fully guarantee it.

He was good enough to torch our shit defense last year better than just about any other quarterback did. Let's hope we don't have any repeats of that nightmare this season.
