Robot Vacuum For Multi-Story House

Oh wise ChiefsPlanet people...

Has anybody found a good robot vacuum that can not only transition between hardwood floors up onto rather thick carpet, and can be moved between floors (stories) of the house? I know some of the big names, but we have four different levels in this home, and I don't want to buy four of them, so if there's a model that works well AND can be moved between levels, that would be awesome.

In B4 "hire a maid"...

I'm unaware if you're hoping it docks itself when its running low. Not sure how that could work outside of doing one floor at a time and moving the docking station and waiting for recharge if one run can't get multiple floors. Which kind of defeats the purpose of it running while you're not at home.

I have 2, one for each floor that's not 100% carpeted, and just looked for Amazon Prime-like deals to mitigate the cost.

I've read that you can move one from its main location/floor to another less-needy floor and it'll work, but you're light, it won't be able to dock. And that's fine, we have one floor/level where the dogs live the most, and we have mostly hardwood floors, and the hair just gets stupid after a couple of days. And I've been told I can't drop-off the dogs on the other side of Raytown to solve the problem...

The self docking is handy. Last thing you want is it dying underneath the center of a king bed. I know that struggle.

I bought a Roboroc S7(mumblemumblesomeotherword) because it gets good reviews for both vacuuming and mopping. I'm satisfied with it other than a few little quibbles. But I have a multi-story house and I wasn't paying $1,000 per floor. I carry it between floors and it'll make maps of each floor to work from. It doesn't really seem to need the maps, though, because it figures out if I move something. I think the value of the maps is that it divides the floor plan into rooms and I can have it clean one room at a time so it doesn't get hung up on the transitions/thresholds.

Don't underestimate the value of mopping. The mopping robot cost twice as much, but it mops, so it's worth it.

It was made in China and they didn't bother to hire a real American to translate the owner's manual, so the documentation and instructions are terrible. Learning it was like finding alien technology out in the desert and then reverse-engineering it.

I have three Eufy robo-vacs, one for each floor of the house.
I have them run 4 days of the week, and never when Willie Gay visits. (He doesn't)
