Pats Cheating Comfirmed

According to the report, the league sources say the NFL determined 11 of the 12 footballs used by the Patriots were under-inflated by two pounds per square inch each. Per NFL rules, footballs are required to be inflated between 12.5 and 13.5 PSI and weigh between 14 and 15 ounces.

FOX's Jay Glazer reports the NFL has identified a Patriots locker room attendant as a "strong person of interest" in the ball-deflation scandal.

The league finally has its Ollie North. Per Glazer, the attendant "allegedly took balls from the officials' locker room to another area on way to the field." There is reportedly video of the incident. Glazer says the league is "still gauging if any wrong doing occurred." It's been obvious from Day 1 the Pats were going to set up some sort of underling as the fall guy, the only question is if he'll sing. The entire "scandal" is long past played out. It would be a shame were it to dominate all pre-SB chatter.

"Sing"? No.... He'll do just what he's told, and when it's all over he'll "sing" from his Kraft-bought home in the tropics...

Let's face it, if it were the Vikings or some other team, nobody would care. How do I know, because nobody DID care when they messed with the balls.

Wells releases a statement, more or less saying "hey, people should stop leaking info, or paying attention to the leaks"

Amateur hour continues.

Quote:
"We are in the process of conducting a thorough investigation on the issue of the footballs used in the AFC Championship," Wells' statement read. "This work began last week, stretched through the weekend, and is proceeding expeditiously this week notwithstanding the Super Bowl. We are following customary investigative procedures and no one should draw any conclusions about the sequence of interviews or any other steps, all of which are part of the process of doing a thorough and fair investigation. I expect the investigation to take at least several more weeks. In the interim, it would be best if everyone involved or potentially involved in this matter avoids public comment concerning the matter until the investigation is concluded. The results will be shared publicly."

I sure feel sorry for Patriots fans! Spygate and Deflate Gate! But you're right, we should really give them the benefit of the doubt. They've earned that.

Said no one, ever.

Here, I'll break the news for you guys:

"The Patriots locker room attendant was a rogue locker room attendant and Tom Brady, Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots knew nothing about his actions when he deflated 11 out of 12 balls before the AFCCG. The Patriots have let this employee go."

and Patriots fans will go, "see! see!"

Everyone knew this is how it was gonna go since the minute it was originally reported.

A year or two from now the guy will write a book telling how he was asked by Brady to deflate them and that the way it was done was orchestrated by members of the staff.

You bring up an excellent point. Let's retrieve the evidence in that case and re-examine it.

I think I might vomit inside my mouth if the Pats actually get away with pawning this off on some rogue locker room assistant.

Perfectly plausible hypothetical for the Colts -- they inflated their balls to 13.5, and did it outside. Patriots balls went from 12.5 to 11.5, while Colts went from 13.5 to 13.0.

Do I know that to be true? Heck no. That's just it, the NFL has given us NOTHING. We don't know anything beyond what BB told us about the Patriots pre-game process.
It doesn't matter where the Colts filled their footballs. They were all checked in the same location at the same time. I've told you this at least once before, yet you strangely ignore it.

Also, for a given temperature change, the higher pressure balls will change pressure by more than the lower temperature balls. If your scenario were true, and the Colts' balls lost 0.5 psi while the Patriots' balls lost 1.0 psi, it would mean that air had been removed from the Patriot balls.
