Pinkel knows how valuable he is and will take care of him. It's the one good aspect of the tireless loyalty to his staff (that has protected turds like Brian Jones and Bruce Walker). They feel the same towards Pinkel.

Kul is cool with the hire.

There’s still work to do on the 2015 recruiting trail for two-time Eastern Division champ Mizzou who is currently ranked 12th in the SEC with 14 commits.

Here’s a review of Mizzou’s strengths heading into bowl week after the holiday and a few predictions on where the Tigers could end up in February. We use team rankings and individual composite player lists to determine grades:

CURRENT STANDING:
National recruiting rank: 30th
SEC recruiting rank: 12th
Number of commits or signees: 14

SIGNED, SEALED, DELIVERED:
Malik Cuellar, OL, San Francisco, Ca. (3-star)

NOTABLE HARD COMMITS:
Drew Lock, QB, Lees Summit, Mo. (4-star)
Natereace Strong, RB, East Saint Louis, Ill. (4-star)
Chase Abbington, RB, Hutchinson, Kan. (4-star)

REMAINING PRIMARY TARGETS:
Terry Beckner Jr., DE, East Saint Louis, Ill. (5-star)
Kirk Merritt, ATH, Destrehan, La. (4-star)

SIGNING DAY SURPRISE:
The Tigers are confident they can lure Terry Beckner Jr. to Columbia who would become 2015’s only 5-star signing. The athletic, 6-foot-5 defensive end from East Saint Louis could step in for departures Shane Ray and Markus Golden up front and provide instant impact off the edge for the Tigers.

They may very well have struck enough of a positive note " 'round these parts " as any number of people are saying next year could be the year they commit to attending games in person.

Granted, we all have attended some in the past, but at this rate I may try to make 3 a year.

That's good news for MIZZOU IMO.

Henry Josey couldn’t have asked for a better Christmas present.

Josey, a former Missouri running back, found a new NFL home Wednesday when the Minnesota Vikings signed him off the Jacksonville practice squad and added him to the 53-man roster ahead of Sunday’s season finale against the Bears.

Josey, 23, led the Tigers in rushing with 1,166 yards and 16 touchdowns as a junior in 2013 before exiting early for the NFL Draft.

He went undrafted but signed with Philadelphia for training camp.

Despite finishing second in the NFL in rushing during the preseason with 225 yards, he was cut by the Eagles and wound up signing with the Jaguars’ practice squad, where he spent the entire season.

Josey missed the end of the 2011 season and entire 2012 season with MU after a severe knee injury. His comeback was one of the most heart-warming stories during the Tigers’ SEC breakthrough campaign in 2013.

To reach Tod Palmer, call 816-234-4389 or send email to tpalmer@kcstar.com. Follow him on Twitter: @todpalmer.

Marquise Doherty is announcing today. Down to Mizzou and Oregon. It would be nice to start getting some 4* athletes to play in the back seven.

Tavon Ross is going to be good, even if he is only a 3* talent.

Down to Missouri and Oregon, the 6-foot-0, 193-pound two-way standout is being recruited as a running back and defensive back by the Tigers and exclusively on the defensive side of the ball by the Ducks.

That could prove to be the difference on decision day.

"It definitely is a plus for Mizzou," he told The Oregonian. "Who doesn't want to have the option to touch the ball and return kicks and punts?"

http://www.oregonlive.com/recruiting..._athlet_3.html
Kick and punt returns maybe

Nice to see mizzou winning the battles
Hopefully they land the twins despite their beaker coach
