Fisher was between his man and Smith, but Smith had nowhere to escape due to a collapsing pocket right in his face. If Smith could have taken even one step forward, Fisher could have pushed his man behind Smith. It also wasn't like Fisher was beat immediately on that play. Smith had time to get rid of the ball. When KC ran the ball to the left, they were mosty successful, so his run blocking looked good to me.

Looking forward to seeing it again... probably will go look at that 1 play again.. but as I recall it..

Both Fisher and Allen got shoved back quickly into Smith's short drop. But that wasn't really the largest problem.

The largest problem was that on that play design (or maybe a receiver just ran the wrong route?) there were 3 Chiefs all bunched together to the left hashmark.. and (I think) a large LB sitting in a zone right in front of that mess. It looks like shit for the QB.. but when you see that? and have nowhere to run? guess you got to eat the sack. NO excuse for the ball protection though.. that was very un-Smith-like!

Oh, I know I know... EXCUSES! The QB should have magically force pulled the underneath LB down on his face with his left hand and zipped a pass low to one of the 3 receivers! Stupid QB!

Fisher was my main priority this evening. I watched the 1 offense's plays mostly to see how he handled himself on the left side.

He was still having trouble with bull rushes - got pushed back consistently by JAG Robert Geathers. That's what stood out to me. It wasn't just about the sack/strip (which is on Alex just as much as the offensive line. He had a LOT of time in the pocket). That's what was concerning. If he's getting run over by a guy like Geathers, he's going to have a long season on the left side.

Parker got beat repeatedly, Smith will regain his spot by the time the season starts.

Abdullah didn't play a lot but the way Bronson played makes me think that he will end up being the starter at FS.

Dave Toub impressed me, every game that coach has shown me he is the best in the NFL at what he does.

I am going to cry when he leaves us for one of these shit franchises that goes through coaches like water finally get smart and give him a head coaching job he deserves.

The asshats on the rules committee depressed me.

Dee Ford has a long way to go. Athletic, but seemed confused and slow at times. That little bastard QB for the Bengals escaped him at least twice that I remember. A little coaching up and I think he'll be fine.

He's not very likely to accept a head coaching job any time soon.

He likes what he does too much and doesn't want to ruin it.
