ST. LOUIS -- Wichita State, which returns four starters from a team that won 25 games last year, has been picked to win the Missouri Valley Conference men's basketball title in 2010-11. WSU was last picked to win the league in 2003-04 and last earned the league's regular-season title in 2006.

Don't foul the other team and they don't shoot FT's. It's a pretty novel concept.

It appears that WSU committed a lot of fouls. I'm guessing there weren't too many possessions where no contact occurred.

Fouls are kinda like holding.. You can call them almost every play, but that doesn't mean they should be. There was a ton of ticky-tack calls, and several that weren't fouls at all.. 2 screens by Stutz, the call on Blair, couple others that went for Kemba Walker..

UConn also had a lot of no calls.. Usually when the disparity is that big in free throws it suggests the game wasn't called fairly, although not always.

We play Chaminade in 5 minutes on ESPN 2, im a little nervous about chaminade, they looked pretty good against Mich St. The boy better be ready play!!!

Nice effort, Shocks win 79-58, a good all around effort except Demetric Williams. David Kyles is on a tear so far this year, if he keeps this level of play up, then he is the MVC player of the year hands down. We play the winner of the OU/Virgina winner at 6:30 tomorrow.

Na its the life of a Mid Major, ive gotten used to it, it is what it is. That said, I wish KU or K state would play us.

I wish we'd play WSU, too. Not happening anytime soon though, unfortunately.
