The scheme is changing. It's going to be more of an attacking style 3-4 with some 4-3 mixed in. You'll be surprised. Frankly, we got Tyson Jackson signed for the same amount of money it would've cost to cut him. That was a brilliant move by Dorsey.

It seems even Jackson knew he wasn't worth the money he was set to make.

He did. And the fact he dropped so much tells me either he knew he wasn't getting more somewhere else, or he wanted to prove himself here in KC. Maybe both. In any case, I'm thrilled to have him back at that money because he's literally a free roster spot at that price, and he was coming on last year. He's not a lost cause. Yet...

It is also apparent Dorsey also knows his market isn't big money wise either. No harm bringing these two back at a substantial pay decrease as they are decent players.

I'm really hoping the attacking scheme changes everything. I got so sick of watching them purposefully holding blocks instead of shedding them and going for the QB.

I want to see Powe get on the field with a rotation between Poe.
I think it would serve to keep them fresh in the game for better production. I think just because Poe played every snap in college it didn't translate into power for him. We need that surge in the middle of the Oline to collapse the front and force blockers to double down, freeing up the outside. If Powe can't get on the field this year then I am going give up on him. I know he was a late round prospect but I think he is better than he was given the opportunity to prove. |

For one, Dontari Poe was pretty much ****ing born to play this scheme.
For another, Glenn Dorsey fully buys into the scheme apparently. Dorsey apparently despised Crennel's 2-gap defense. On last thing: the Chiefs retained Dorsey and Jackson because that was probably the best they could do. They don't want to drop the #1 overall on the position (clearly), so you'd either have to fish for 3-4 DEs in free agency (apparently that well dried up quick) or you'd have to draft them in the midrounds -- which I'm guessing they'll do, but you want some continuity along the DL in place. |

Dorsey and Jackson were both good in college getting up the field and disrupting in the backfield, as well as causing pocket collapse. They weren't asked to do that in Romeo's scheme but they will in this one. I think they will be more disruptive.

They bought the house at an estate sale and decided to keep all the furniture that came with it. Replacing pieces as they live with it and see how they fit with it.

Don't be surprised if the #1 pick is DL.
