Albert/Joeckel perspective
How would you feel if the Chiefs had the #2 overall pick and packaged it and Albert for Joeckel? Because that's what the Chiefs are on the brink of doing.

#1 pick = 3000 points
#54 pick = 360 points

difference is 2640 points

#2 pick is worth 2600 points

Chiefs are going to invest 3000 - 360 = 2640 points to replace Albert with Joeckel. It could be a good deal for the Chiefs if 1) Albert is out of the league in two years, 2) Jockel is a HOFer and 3) the alternatives (like Geno) don't have very good careers.

As I previously stated, I watched EVERY televised K-State game this year on one of the Fox Sports channels or national Fox, etc. and I could probably only name two opponents that I can clearly remember in the OU and WV game. The KU game was early out here, even though I had it on and I remember the Texas game. Other than that, I can't even recall who they played.

Oh SNR now you're just projecting because you think Geno is good because of positional value just like Pioli stupidly thought Jackson was a good pick because of his so called "positional value" being high due to him being the only 3-4 DE prospect in the first draft.

SNR, tell me again how Geno's positional value as a QB makes him #1 worthy of every other prospect when people don't think he's that great of a prospect in general?

I understand you want them to try and take a QB for the sake of doing it, but they aren't sold on him to do that. There are consequences for ****ing up this draft pick. Like losing your job..

Positional value is not talking about rarity of the position compared to other guys in the draft (what you bring up when referencing a 34 DE as the only guy in that draft). Jackson being the "only" 34 DE in that draft had absolutely nothing to do with the positional value.

Positional value is just that: How valuable one position is compared to others.

QB has more positional value than anything else, and it isn't close.

Comparing the positional value of a 34 DE (which ranks FAR below QB, as well as pass rushing DE, DT, OT, WR and CB) to a QB is stupid.
