If Herm were fired tomorrow, who takes over?
I realize it won't happen, but suppose he gets canned during the season at some point. What do you think? Gun? Chan?

Hopefully Dick Twirl would be gone too

I'll probably get blasted for this, but I wouldn't mind seeing both coordinators stay in place for the remainder of this year and have Kiffin come in as interm to oversee overall preparation and planning. I really thought Oakland was improving under him even though Al kept butting in.



But, like I said a few weeks back, Herm isn't going anywhere. Carl isn't either. Clark isn't going to fire Carl a year away from retiring after being with the organization and his dad's right hand man for 19 years. Carl isn't going to let anything happen to Herm 'cause he doesn't want to have to go looking for another HC. And, no decent HC would consider the job here given we will most likely have a new GM in just over a year.
