If Herm is gone

you know we'll hire a retread. This organization isn't forward-thinking enough to hire Josh McDaniels or another young coordinator.

So which available retread coach do you want?

I would think Cowher would want no part of this mess.

I actually think we'd make a play for Brian Billick. It just seems like a Chiefs move. I don't know what I would think about him but I bet that is who the Chiefs would hire if Herm is fired.

If Herm is gone, so is Peterson. It all depends on who the new GM is. If it's Bill Kuharich, then yeah it will probably be a stodgy retread. I'm hoping for a complete regiem change.

We've gone from Martyball to DVball to the red-headed reeruned stepchild of Martyball. Assuming Carl isn't gone, too, the trend points to offense, because I'm sure we're tired of not having one... Or, maybe we'll stop hiring glorified coordinators. Haha, just kidding.

Hell, with our talent on defense - and we DO have talent - if we hire a competent DC and get an offenisive head coach - GASP - we might just have a balanced team for once.

I agree we have talent on defense. our coordinator sucks. Gunther was only good when he had Derrick Thomas, Neil Smith, Dan Saleiamua, Dale Carter, and James Hasty. He's never been even above average after that group of players went away. Big mistake bring Gun back after firing Robinson.

There's no way Carl outlasts Herm here, but if Carl could have a do-over on his latest coaching selection, he'd probably pick Butch Davis over Herm.

Herm isn't going anywhere until after the season, and I bet not even then. I bet Clark gives him another year regardless of how obvious it is that the Chiefs are going backwards.

This is Herm's 1st year of the rebuild. You gotta be patient with these things.
