The rats seem to be fleeing the ship. Malzahn was just confirmed as the new head coach at Arkansas State University (which isn't exactly a football powerhouse). He took a pretty massive paycut (500,000 less) by doing so. I suppose it could be that he wants a head coaching job that desperately. That being said, his name was being thrown around for jobs like SMU and Ole Miss. To settle at ASU is pretty surprising. Maybe that's a standard movement, though. Garrick McGee, after all, went from Arkansas to UAB to land his first head coaching duties at a university.
