Great 2nd place finish for Montoya.

Yeah - good luck with that. We all know how much Stewart loves getting blocked. He'd have wrecked them both on general principles, especially since Montoya was the one doing the blocking.
Yup. I'm certain Gordon's Plan #1 back there was simply to miss the wreck.

I'd have given 2-1 odds on that being exactly what happened as he started that pass up high.

I never really thought he'd be able to hold the line, but once he did, I was sure Montoya was either 1) going to succeed in blocking him and Tony was going to turn him around or 2) Clip him trying to block him and take them both out.

I never figured Stewart would execute the pass and Montoya would race him responsibly at the same time.

The 42 has never known better.

His spotter's radio probably went out and he just didn't know what happened.

I do think that Johnson got boned a little there on the re-start penalty. Montoya does seem to have slow-played the restart.

The 42 showed class by not getting stupid. That said he was well aware of who was behind him and what he would do in return~

Well, since we're all JPM bashing here:

I'd say that he snookered Johnson brilliantly on that restart. Yep, I would say that, except I don't think he's smart enough to do it.
