I'm looking forward to more on the PlayStation 4, a competent Vita lineup, and some NHL 14 news.

Dude, do some research. There are multiple developers saying this, then when Xbox retorts, only to have more developers step forward and say, "no, but really. Big difference". I'm actually pretty sure some developers have our their name in the statements.

The only thing that will keep Xbox One competitive in this generation are the premium exclusive titles that Microsoft puts out themselves (Halo, etc.). Everything else, looks like the PS4 will eat Xbox One's lunch.

I don't think it really matters. Microsoft doesn't really seem interested in the Xbox being a gaming primarily console anymore.

Neither of the current models (360/PS3) are used solely for the purpose of just gaming. They aren't even intended to be solely gaming consoles. It shouldn't be a surprise to anyone when MS & Sony try to make their consoles into something that is an all in one entertainment piece for your living room.

I have researched it, and the same anonymous or taken out of context quotes get regurgitated throughout blogs and other sensational fan boy driven shit.

No developers have put their names on these quotes and they always come from a pro-PS4 site.

It hilarious how bad the PS4 fanbois want the Xbone to be terrible. They've been latching onto anything they can get their hands on that paints the Xbone in a bad light and anything that pumps up their perceived view of the PS4.

I wish they were out already so all the "this system is going to better than that system" stuff would stop and we can get into the "Oh. They are pretty much the same system, but this one has better games" stuff can start.

I just have no desire to sit there talking to my TV and waving my hands around when I can use a damn remote. A feature I have no desire to have much less use. There is a reason I am not even buying the camera for the PS4. At least I had the option to not buy it with Sony.

That's actually a fairly decent reason for going with the PS4.

My kid likes the Kinect. Some of the games on it are actually quite fun.

I've been on X Box Live since day 1 so the people I game online with are on there. So, I'm going with the Xbone.

Eventually, I'll own both because I like both PS and X Box exclusives.

I understand what you're saying, but you are talking about one feature. I'm talking about the systems being your DVR, you're DVD player, you're Netflix player, you're Bluray, you're movie rental location, music, etc. That's what they are going towards. They both know there is more money to be made if their systems do more than the traditional play games.

Xbox was trying to do that with this system until they caved under the pressure, but eventually it's coming.

I'm looking forward to this generation of both consoles though. I'm sure I'll end up with both at some point.

My biggest worry about the xbone is the fact they are tying it to your tv too if you so choose. With their overheating history I just don't think I want a console that would be running every time the TV is on.
