Jeremy Maclin
Some stuff in the news about him recently. What do you think the odds are he hits free agency, and the Chiefs end up in pursuit?

Been reading tons of Maclin stuff today.

One of the biggest questions the Eagles will have to answer this offseason is whether or not they want to bring back Jeremy Maclin.

Maclin has been vocal about his desire to return to Philadelphia, and on Monday he posted a video showing he is working hard to make it happen.

The below video was posted on Maclin's Instagram account, with the caption: "It's what u do when the lights aren't on u... #18 #realcomebackstory"

It's hard to tell what to make of the video, and how optimistic fans should feel about Maclin's recovery from a torn ACL because of it.

Still, if you are hoping Maclin does return, seeing him sprint in the Eagles practice facility -- and look perfectly healthy while doing it -- likely only increases those wishes.

Dante's question from last night now has me wishing for Jackson, I'd prefer Gordon but would still give a first for Jackson.

Philly may not be able to keep all 3.

This. Bowe/Jenkins/Hemmingway/Dressler are all #2/3 WR's. We need a solid #1 to open up this offense.

WR is a secondary concern. The offense caters to RBs and TEs. We need a dynamic TE more than anything else.

That a fair point, wouldn't bother me one bit to use the first on one... going into 2014 with Fasano and Kelce isn't gonna cut it.

I think once we get a TE that can win matchups in the passing game (this draft has 3 really good ones) that will prevent teams from being able to bracket Bowe all game...which was the case a lot in the first half of the year.

In 2010, Bowe was a clear cut bonafide #1 guy. Not too many receivers can come down with 15 tds in a year with b level guys throwing to them. It's no surprise that once they started getting the ball to Dwayne, the offense opened up. It's the coaches, Alex's and Bowes responsibility to find a way to replicate that level of production in 2014.

The good thing is this is a deep tight end and receiver class and a really good one should fall to us.

That's not necessarily true.

We need the best pass catcher(s) that we can get regardless of being a TE or WR.


getting 1 of each would be best but i don't want to sacrifice a single drop of talent for a specific position.

2 elite WRs and we can slide Bowe in tight
2 elite TEs and we can run double tights all game

Whatever gets the most talent on the field

We do have more room to add talent at the WR position right now though.

Jeremy Maclin is a stretch the field guy. Those kind of guys are going to have marginal impact in this offense if we don't find better outlets for a QB that makes plays with his feet.

1 impact TE changes this offense more than any WR at this point.
