It reminded me of the way we used to play aggresive defense and it was AWESOME! It reminded me of the days when "the NFC's best" would come into ARROWHEAD and get CRUSHED! Anyone remember the Philly, Washington, SF, and Green Bay games of the early to mid '90's?? This one was much like those games with one difference - the aggresive defense was there but the offense was WIDE OPEN for 60 minutes!

I agree! I haven't seen the Chiefs lay down a thumping like that since the beating of the 9ers a few years ago. It's one of those wins that can turn a team around and push them up to the next level. I have to give credit to not only the players, but to Gun and his staff for opening it up and letting the players play. I kind of warm up to this new "Air Gun Attack." I just hope they stick with this type of plan for furure games!

CHIEFS!

I will have to say that I learned I am a total Grbac homer. When he was laying on the ground I actually felt as if the season was lost.

I do think the loss of Hicks will be huge.

On a brighter note, it was fun kicking their Arse!!!!!

What a complete team performance.....

The pressure from the front 4 was OUTSTANDING. Clemons and Dan Williams in particular were superb. The D-line set the tone for the game. They rushed both QBs into hurried decisions and poor throws.

The rookie secondary was excellent. The tackling was definitely better than what we have been used to.

Donnie Edwards is doing EVERYTHING in the middle of the field. Patton has had 2 tackles in the last 2 games, why?, because Donnie has had 30!

We even got a ST TD, tackles from our kicker, 2 TD drives engineered by our back-up QB........

Our coaching staff deserves major props. It may have taken them forever to realise the talent they had on the team, but let's not take anything away from this win. All except Mike Stock get A+ http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/smile.gif The best thing is that Gun delivered on his promises. He did not and would not allow the players/coaches to go into a shell. There was no getting back into this game, not even for the Rams. It makes a welcome change to see us hold onto a win like that.

It's a truly great day to be a Chiefs fan http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I'm just typing not reading so if anyone else said some of what I'm going to say...sorry...

Kurt S. came up with a great D scheme...just the right amount of blitzing...contrary to what I would have done...blitz on every play...but give a lot of credit to the front four...by getting the pressure on the QB they did, that allowed us not to have to blitz so much...Dan earned his money yesterday...Hicks is going to be a great one...hope he's not hurt too bad...Clemons, what a steal...can't believe Minnesota let him get away...

Now the offense...what can you say?...is this the same Chiefs team that wanted to run the ball...credit to Gun and Jimmy for having the faith in the passing game to let us do it...I think the Rams thought we'd try the ball control thing...were they wrong...but more impressive was that we executed our passing game to perfection...

Elvis is the man...for the first time in his career in KC...he may have the fans on his side...when he got hurt, I'm sure even the most ardent Grbasher was a little worried...Moon would be okay for a game or two...but let's hope EG is back next week...has he thrown an INT since Denver...I don't think so...and he's been passing more than normal...he may finally be there...

Kimble...full speed or not...should be the feature back along with Richardson at FB...he won his shot and deserves to finish out the season as the main back...

The coverage teams suck...about the only bad thing I can say about yesterday...

Just a couple things.
We have the best safety tandem in the league.

Browning sacked up and played well when Hicks went down.

I would have rather beat the Raiders.

Great game, great job by all.
Special cudos to those who were at the game. You came thru loud and proud on t.v.

Seattle can't be looking forward to this Sunday very much.

I have been waiting for the "Silence" for months and months......when you are constantly around St. Louis people who have just hopped on the Rams bandwagon, it gets pretty sickening. http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/smile.gif

If think about it the Rams are just like the Raiders of the mid 90's all the talent in the world but folds under pressure.(playing real football teams) http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/cool.gif

TX,
Your right. I'm just sick of the lovefest the press had with the Raiders this past week.
Paybacks are H$LL!

Yes, great, great win. I think we just witnessed how good the Chiefs can be. Hope they can play aggressive on both sides of the ball for the rest of the year and stay healthy. Kudos to the Chiefs coaches for exposing and exploiting the Rams main weakness, their DEFENSE!

The LA papers are still making excuses for the Rams. They are basically saying the Rams lost, rather than the Chiefs won. I'm am so sick of these bandwagon writers. The Rams are good, but they are NOT that good. And the Chiefs are better than they think they are, but the coaching, up 'til now, has been very haphazard. If the coaches are true to form they will revert to old bad habits and we'll be in deep doo-doo next weekend. Let's hope they don't revert 'cause I liked what I saw yesterday!
Go Chiefs!
Fly,
That seems to be the case with the WHOLE national media. Excuses are for LOSERS.
