Bennett is our best RB. He deserves that salary. (cough-cough) http://www.chiefsplanet.com/ubb/mad.gif

To lose these guys would mean an almost guarnteed end of the RBbC, and I just can't have any part in condoning the ending of this great Chiefs tradition.

I don't care about Bennett. However, Kimble has gotten the SHAFT this year. While the KC "brain trust" has been convincing themselves that they have "good" RB's while at the same time being SOOOO tricky with different personnel sets, their BEST HB has been on the bench MOST of the year. Kimble deserved better and could have made a difference!

For all those who don't think Donnell is a strong runner, I wish I could show you the bruises he puts on the butts and hamstrings of our O-Linemen. Man, he runs into the back of them harder than anyone I've seen.

6.5 mil would make some nice bait for some premier RB....hmmmmm....

But for a mere half a million I'll play RB...I know I could go in for one play, gain 10 yards and then sit the bench the rest of the game...I could be the starter which would guarantee I only played one series...

Thats all fine and dandy, but did you see this suggested somewhere, or are you hoping/guessing this is going to happen? I wouldn't mind seeing a fresh dude in here. Someone with awesome speed and good vision. It would be cool if we could get a premier running back who could ave 5-7ypc.

5-7 YPC? Yeah, right. The only person averaging that is Brian Mitchell and he has <30 touches with one 90 yard carry.

I'd be happy with a 20-30 carry per game back that could average 3.7 YPC. That would make you an alternate @ the pro-bowl, IMHO.

Robert Smith sure looked good last night.

Bishop, if you're asking for confirmation of the $6.5mill figure it was in the weekly Chiefs Q&A that Teicher E's.

Don't get too excited about this number. We're some $40mill over the cap. $6.5 mill is 1/7th of a $40mill bucket.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't we more like $30m over ($98m when the cap is projected at $67-68m)? If we let these two guys go, and restructure Grbac's contract we could conceivably cut the problem in half? Then, maybe we can do something about McGlockton, Williams and Bush to name a few?

Probably still screwed though! http://www.chiefsplanet.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif

And Cut Gray!

Hasn't Gray's salary been restructured to the league minimum (or close)? Cut him anyway, but I don't think it will make much of dent in the problem....

Gray is a definite waste of space. Cut him!!

Cutting Glock would cost us 7 mil against the cap, and Williams 4.2, I think we will see both on the roster again.
