Thanks, Al, for finally taking it like a man. No real jabs or whining.

Sincerely.

Good speech, I gained a certain amount of respect for him.

Good job Al, I'm sure he will be back.

I am so relieved to hear you guys react so graciously. I was afraid that even such a class act as we saw tonight would be clouded by hate. You guys are all right (for a buncha Repubs!). Here's to less rancor in Washington....

Now see, all this namecalling and accusing before his speech... :)

Very good speech. Exactly what I would have said and wanted to hear him say. That's the Gore I voted for, too bad he never looked that good on the campaign trail, oh well.

Time to move on...

Bob Dole did not vote for either one of them (despite the obviously Republican handle).

Bob Dole was pleasantly surprised when Al did not mutter "will of the people" and every vote counts" in an attempt to somehow lessen the outcome.

With all that has happened, Gore truly did what is best for the country at this point.

I didn't actually watch it because I'm still working but it's good to know he acted graciously in defeat FINALLY.

Gore was asked about his feelings on what is being shown on public tv. His response was that there was too much frontal nudity.

Bush was asked the same question and he replied that there was too much blood, guts and violence.

In other words

gore thinks there is too much bush and Bush says there is too much gore.

To say the least, Al Gore was impressive with his speach,I was shocked. If Al would have ran his campaign like this,he could have won easily. Weither or not it was the Real Al or a kiss up for the next election in 2004,he made his point be know and acted with class and went out a winner ,rather than a Whinner.

He showed that America has not lost anything during this circus act on electing a President, but that he could be a man about the outcome and try to unite the country behind GW. Al,you did well,to say the least!

Now GW.... I thought done equally as well. Using the Democrat speaker and the Dem.control house to sell his ideals to the public was a good start, now will that seed grow into capital hill....I hope so!

These speaches last night was not of the norm, for any politican and 1 can only hope that politics has turned for the good of the country !

Very impressed with both men ! :)

By George, I do think Al gave a very good speech last night. Although at points I thought he was gonna cry. But it was a good speech.

Why didn't he make speeches like that during the election? He probably would have won handily if he had, instead of this statistical dead heat.<P>
