Drew - Their style of line blocking was made illegal after their last SB, so yes it is now cheating and should be flagged. Mayeb the coaches decided that since there was less attention this year that they might be able to get away with it, you know since they sucked so bad last year without it. I have not watched that closely for it yet, but I will now.

Couple years back, there was this big brew-haha over Shanahan bitchin and moanin that the KC WRs were executing illegal chop blocks downfield. That is, blocking DBacks and LBackers below the waist. Basically, Shanerhan was WHINING for the zebras to throw a few flags our way for 2 weeks leading up to the KC-DEN matchup.

Now that the tables are turned, and others are bitchin and moanin about some of the Donkey's tactics, Whinahan calls them whiners!

I'm not whining one way or the other about thier blocking schemes. I'm simply pointing out that Whinahan is a hypocritical, 'always the victim of conspiracy' BS artist. Most head coaches are to some degree, but Whinahan tops the dung-pile.

I think the whole story is that Shannahan was a little miffed that his RCB got his ACL blown on the opposite side of the field of the play. I imagine pretty much anybody might have something to say about that. It's apples and oranges.

Or maybe you're talking about Bountygate. I guess Denver is the only team that might be a little miffed when an opponents Olineman brags about bounty's on the radio, especially after a game in which both John Elway and Ed McCaffery were blatantly cheap shotted.

Just fess up to it-- y'all are bitter. Nothing else would explain why reportedly knowledgable football fans have to concoct a conspiracy to explain a rival's success. <P>

Congrats to your team for their recent success. I do, however remember the 80's and 90's before the Broncs actually won a SB. So please spare us the 'bitterness' speech.

I was thinking this thread could wait until next week. I guess every poster here is either counting San Diego a "W" or they have run down every angle twice.

As a Chiefs fan (since '70, die-hard since '88), I too have fallen into the whiner pit about Denver playing dirty. Of course my Bronco counterparts say the same about the Chiefs, especially since "The Bounty" of the Schottenhiemer era. I guess these same fellows will point to a "vast referee conspiracy", a curse directed against the Chiefs (although it opnly rears it's ugly head only when we are losing). Having lived in the metro area for 15 years I have to wonder where it is some of these whiners are truly from, since where I come from people like that are called "SORE LOSERS".
Man up and get over it. It's premature to start making excuses for losing to Denver at Mile High since the game hasn't even been played.
