The Royals just scored 6 runs in the 12th to take a 10-4 lead....really puts a crimp in the plans of the Red Sox for the post season.

The Royals have kicked the crap out of all the contenders recently accept the Yanks. And really the bullpen blew what should of been a win with them in game 1

Jeff Keppinger had the big hit, 3 run homer to break the tie.

If we can finish this out, we'll take the season series against the Red Sox.

Next year the AL Central WILL be the toughest division in baseball hands down.

It already is this year. No other division comes anywhere near it this year.

Royals win. Real nice effort. Take the season series against the Sox, and a chance for a 2nd straight sweep tomorrow.

Also need to go 9-10 now to avoid 100 losses.

With Teahen being out and some othr guys probably getting looks I would care less at this point if we lost 100.

It is a different 100 this time. Luke Hudson, Mark Redman and Odales Perez are owning lineups right now.

Our starting staff could be pretty solid next year too, but that pen is scary and def. needs help

We need to dump Sisco. I like Nelson but not really as a closer. If Grienke could get his shit together he could be a Jeff Montgomery type closer with all the breakign crap he has.

We need a power closer though that is for sure.

I think Dayton sees Ryan Braun as the closer. Well, it could still be Burgos as he matures, but I think Dayton likes Braun.

We need to dump Sisco.

He definately needs some time in the minors at least. The funny thing is at the beginning of the year I thought our best innings pitching wise would come after the 6th. Not funny in a "ha ha" way though.

I did too, with what Sisco and Burgos showed the year before.
The league adjusted to them, and they haven't found out how to adjust back.

Read on a Boston forum that tonight's win means the Royals have a better record since the All Star break than the Sox do. LMAO

boston majorly choked this year

Sisco doesn't belong in the majors right now. Burgos barely.

Sisco's I don't think has the talent level right now between his ears and has pressed too hard this year. He needs to go back to the minors and learn how it feels to succeed and not get super pumped cause you strike out one guy after being shelled all season.

Great, the Royals have really been playing well of late. Could you all make sure they win the 2 games that they have with the Angels. ;)

It is soooooo refreshing to have actual competent people running this team. I am fed the eff up with my team getting their asses kicked every year. I actually have some hope for next year. If we can get that bullpen fixed in the offseason we can make some noise.

If we can get that bullpen fixed in the offseason we can make some noise.Only rich teams can afford the luxury of being incompetent, and even then, they can't be too bad.

BTW, the Angels just lost, and I updated my Magic # woot woot.

Dayton Moore > Allard Baird

Like thats hard to be greater than Baird.......just about anybody on this board would have been >Baird.

I'm beginning to question some of Daytons moves..but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Shealy looks to be awesome, but giving up our best pitching prospect for a first baseman we don't need is beyond me. Dayton has said he is not going to bring Gordon or Butler up, but rather let them stay in Triple A next year. Great..so we'll get Gordon when he's like 26..for a year, and then he'll go sign somewhere else.
