5) Remote play and network-ability with PSP. Again who cares, Sony is dumping backwards compatibility, now you are touting being able to network with a PSP?? Who wants to do that if they own a PS3??

Nope, the old 60's have the chip, the new 20's dont. The 80's using software emulation. Sony has now dropped it all and no more.

Actually, that is the rumor that refuses to die. A report came out about a week and a half ago about a certain manufacturer (can't remember who and can't be arsed to search) producing a drive for the 360. Unlike the previous rumors, however, this one was not quickly refuted. Who knows.

Edit: So after doing a little research, it turns out it has been denied officially by MS once again.

Hate to say it, but I bought a PS3 last fall and have hardly played it. If I weren't such a console nut (I buy them all, every time) I would regret the purchase. As it stands I recommend people who want to play hardcore next gen games get a 360, and casual gamers get a Wii. Movie buffs should get the PS3, that's who it is best suited for.

Dude, how can you even say that? This is my first gaming console, and the ability to play PS2 titles is a HUGE perk, especially since i have kids. They play LEGO Star Wars constantly, and I'm catching up with the MGS series and GTA 1 thru 3. All for like 10 bucks a title.

So, I guess if you have a PS3, maybe you don't need BC, but even so, one less piece of hardware is also nice.

Also, whether you get a 40 GB or a 80 GB, you can upgrade your hard-drive and keep the system under the Manufacturer's Warranty.

So if you buy a 40 GB, and don't care about Backwards Compatibility, you can put in a 320 GB Hard Drive and save $100 over the 80 GB.

Plus Not all the games are Backwards Compatible.
