During Herm's presser last Tuesday, he was salivating over the fact that Carolina keeps the score close and tries not to lose, basically like his own philosophy. I'm expecting a close, tough game. I just hope our young guys limit their mistakes.

The local news and media are reporting that Jordan Gross will not play. That means that the Chiefs defense can get a shot to sack Jake Dellome a few times. If they can play the Panthers like they played the Patriots, they have a good shot. But if they play like they did vs. Oakland and Atlanta, they'll be back on the 1-15 track.

Simply a decent performance would be fine with me. A close game for three (or even four) quarters, a competent effort against Steve Smith and their running game, a few points on the board, etc.

I believe that this team can pull off a victory. While Jake Delhomme has several receivers he can rely on and a strong group of running backs, they will beplaying without Jordan Gross and Jeff Otah. Two very good offensive tackles. If this defensive line can make some plays and put Delhomme under pressure, he'll have a tough time getting the ball to his receivers and hopefully our young corners can step up and get more INT's. We just have to hope this team can stop the run.

Offensively, I trust Damon Huard, but I would not expect to see him throw deep balls much (even though we rarely see that out of him.) Carolina is a very good team against the pass, so the Chiefs will run the ball more than pass. Despite Branden Albert missing, I have no problem with Herb Taylor. This Carolina run defense is very similar to Denver's heading into week four. I don't know if we should expect another 198 yard performance, but I would expect LJ to have another great day.

I do expect a close game from start to finish. I tipped KC in this one in a high scoring game 34-31.

That Titans game just could be the toughest one this year. I've felt they've been the best team since week three. They're leading the NFL in forced fumbles and INT's and third in sacks. If the Chiefs find a way to pull an upset against the Titans, that'd be some crazy stuff.

They have Peppers going up against McInsuck.....which means we probably won't throw more than 15 times this game. And as bad as McInsuck will do today, a Super stubborn/ Ultra conservative coach Herm fucking Edwards won't feed Barry Richarson to the lions this game.

Steve Smith should have a good game today. He's more athletic and explosive than anyone in our secondary, I would expect Flowers will be covering him as Moose is a bigger target, Carr would be in my opinion lined up against him.

We aren't going to stop the run on the road......Stewart would be a good #2 back today if you have him on your FFT.
