Putting new shocks on a 1998 S10 2WD 4.3V6 Ext. Cab.
Is there any difference between Monroe, Gabriel or KYB?
Probably will go with mono-tube.
Not going to shell out for Bistein, Koni etc.
TIA

Not really.
Out of those three, I've always had good luck with KYB, but I'd rather splurge for the Konis :)

Of those 3 the KYB's are by far the best.

KYB by a MILE. Gas-Ajust. All we sell at my shop are KYB and Billsteins if you are really serious.

Awww, come on guys, it's so simple. Maybe you need a refresher course. It's all ball bearings nowadays. Now you prepare that Fetzer valve with some 3-in-1 oil and some gauze pads. And I'm gonna need 'bout ten quarts of anti-freeze, preferably Prestone. No, no make that Quaker State

Upon further research, I have seen some recommendations for AC Delco.
How would those compare with KYB?

To really pick a shock/strut you need to know what you are looking for from those parts. A little more info would be nice.

THE DEAL IS DONE!!!!!!!!
I couldn't find KYB shocks here in Springville. I ordered the Gas-A-Just from buykyb.com. Free shipping and the best price I found on the interweb.
It's a day. Thanks for your input, guys.
I will now crack open a new box of wine, kick back and put on a Bangles CD.
Spodee Odee.
