Do you like fresh fruit cold or at room temperature? This is one thing the wife and I can't seem to see eye to eye on; I like my fruit chilled and she likes her fruit room temperature. We have to store half of the fruit on the kitchen counter and the other half in the fridge. So what about you? Do you prefer your fruit cold or room temperature?

Depends on what the fruit is.

I keep most fresh fruit in the refrigerator if it's fully ripened. One exception is bananas.

Only a couple more weeks of the good stuff, then it's mostly from Mexico and, later in the winter, Chile. I don't buy much of that.

I like my fruits room temperature. If I put them in the fridge, they cry and whine a lot. "Ow, you're hurting me, you big butch! Take these ropes off my ankles! You're gonna make me break a nail!"

If we can lock him in a freezer, then it would be

Chilled:

Watermelon
Canteloupe
Grapes

Room Temperature:

Oranges/Clementines
Apples
Bananas

Either:

Pineapple
Strawberries

Those constitute 90+ percent of my fruit consumption, so I won't get into the exotics.
