How is Danario not projected to be drafted in the 1st 3 rounds?

That makes sense. There's only 8 players from last years Missouri team on NFL rosters right now.

But only 2 in went in the first round last year.

This. 3 knee surgeries and a broken hand will do that.

Swing and a miss by ol Laz there.

Alexander is an athletic freak and will tear up the combine. It is looking like a deep WR draft, but Danario will have a great shot at getting drafted in the first 3 rounds.

Injury worries would be the only concern, I read somewhere he runs a 4.5 now, but used to run a 4.40 before he screwed his knee up. But it sure does look like he runs faster than a 4.5 on the football field.

I read the 4.5 last week in Poz's article. I hope that's right, but it seems college times are often inflated. I've just never been impressed with his speed.

Really? Did you see the TD he had last week where he outran 2 defenders who had angles on him for 70 yards? He's good for atleast 1 TD per game for over 60 yards it seems like, he's pretty fast man.

Yeah, after thinking about it I can't recall a time this season where he was caught from behind. If you have as many 40+ yd TD catches as he does you know you have some wheels.

Imagine if he never screwed his knee up and still had that 4.4 speed, he would be a sure fire 1st round pick, and still should be IMO.

He's a poor man's Randy Moss. He'll be a steal in the 3-5 rounds.
IMHO, his combine numbers will make or break him.

Nario used to have a ridiculous vertical as well. It was something like 44 inches. It's hard to fathom that he was a 2* recruit.

What's crazy to think about is how Sean Weatherspoon was recruited as a wide receiver.

I was talking more Chase Daniel and Colin Brown and Will Franklin and the list goes on.

Were those guys really overhyped? Most of them pretty much did what they got credit for.

Seeing Franklin on that list is funny. He was a decent WR. Maybe I missed the throngs of people who thought he was more than that? Also loling at the idea there was "hype" surrounding Colin Brown.

I don't think Colin Brown even had a draft profile at the time we drafted him. I could be wrong.

Maclin can't carry Alexander's jock, either. It's scary to think how good he could have been without the injuries.

Whoa whoa...I get the whole thing about Alexander starting over Maclin before injury and I believe in all the talent that Alexander has.

But maybe it is early to declare that a player having a good NCAA season can't hold the jock of a player who is suiting up and helping his team on Sundays.
