Early in the second half, 49ers RT Anthony Davis was flagged for an unnecessary roughness penalty. As David Fucillo of NIners Nation said, it seemed like a "silly penalty by a heated rookie (http://www.ninersnation.com/2010/9/26/1713786/49ers-ot-anthony-davis-chiefs-dt-shaun-smith-likes-to-grab-your-junk)."

After the game, 49ers head coach Mike Singletary said of the penalty, "I think he got hit inappropriately. After a while, there's only so much you can take. He (Davis) was wrong for retaliating and he knows that."
Hmm...that part "there's only so much you can take" would suggest something fishy was going on.

If you listen to any of the old NFL films on the all time great defensive players, there is always someone who, even though they respect him now, hated to get on the field with the guy because when they got in the dog pile 'weird' things happened.
