2nd round is comming tomorrow. Always like to read his analysis on his picks.

***Warning*** though... It's a Sac type of first round for the Chiefs.

Gabe Carimi would be a damn good selection for the Chiefs.

While Carimi wouldn't be the sexiest of picks, he's a fine player and would fill in immediately at RT. Whether or not you draft a RT at 21, now that's a different question.

I'd be ok with Carimi.

Carimi is my #2 tackle this draft. I'd be fine with him or Costanzo if that's where the value was. I'd prefer one of those two guys over Ayers, actually.

It's a good spot to take that kind of player, unlike Sac's "Let's take a tackle top 5" bullshit every other year.

Me too.

I think you can find guys like Ayers later on, or in free agency.

And I'd take Stanzo (I plan on calling him this if he becomes a Chief), Carimi, AND Ayers over Phil Taylor.

There are a few good NT prospects that can be had in the 2nd and 3rd rounds of this draft that would be far better value than spending a 1st round pick on Taylor. Plus, there's something about having 3 first rounders on the starting defensive line and still not being THAT great that just makes me want to shoot myself in the face

Carimi is a safe pick that is good value at the 21st pick. Without free agency, the Chiefs and a lot of other teams will be forced to pick for need regardless of what Pioli said in the Star today. The C and NT positions have to be addressed early on.

I'll call him costanza.... CAN'T STAND YA (if he sucks)

There are probably about 10 players I'd be fine with KC taking at 21. Carimi is one of them.

Charles sets rushing records and Cassell goes to the PB. Not sure RT is where I'm going in round 1.

I'd think the fact our starting WR in a playoff game was signed off the street the week before or we gave up half an hundred to the Donks would signs of more pressing needs.

Pretty much this, quite a few positions and players I'd be happy with. It's going to take a complete and total disaster to get me upset this year.

I would rather have Ayers at that spot but Carimi would be the only tackle I take at 21.

NT or OLB is preferable to me. Carmi though I've heard has that nasty streak that you look for in a RT mauler.

Always is..Can't wait till we can say the same thing about the Chiefs. It would be great if we could just spend one pick and get a franchise QB instead of spending so many picks to build a team around the QB we have. JMO though...

im with ya on that, but there wont be a reciever available worth the 21st pick.

I could live with trading back and picking up Smith. If not, Phil Taylor would be nice at 21.

I'd love to trade back for smith. I was going to mention that in my first post, but work got in the way.

Right now, Smith is the pick I want.

However, I wouldn't be mad if they addressed either tackle position, C, NT or OLB.

Why do we need a WR when Cassel already went to the pro bowl with the ones we have?

just sayin' :)

Assuming they pan out, how many receptions and TDs do you see a Torrey Smith or Leonard Hankerson putting up per year?

I think when taking a WR in the 1st 2 rounds you always hope for 70 and 1000.

My arguement goes back to the Ravens game when he had enough time and nobody could get open.

I thought it had been pointed out that receivers were NFL open on multiple occasions and Cassel threw the ball too late or he shit his pants like usual and forgot everything about playing QB.

Wouldn't it also be possible to trade back a bit and pick up Taylor?

Possible, but not a likely as with Smith IMO.

Fuck yeah. And NOT possible. No way in hell Phil Taylor falls that far with Nose Tackles being such a hot commodity and so difficult to find.
