2nd round is comming tomorrow. Always like to read his analysis on his picks. ***Warning*** though... It's a Sac type of first round for the Chiefs. |

Gabe Carimi would be a damn good selection for the Chiefs.

I'd be ok with Carimi.

Carimi is my #2 tackle this draft. I'd be fine with him or Costanzo if that's where the value was. I'd prefer one of those two guys over Ayers, actually.

It's a good spot to take that kind of player, unlike Sac's "Let's take a tackle top 5" bullshit every other year.

And I'd take Stanzo (I plan on calling him this if he becomes a Chief), Carimi, AND Ayers over Phil Taylor.
There are a few good NT prospects that can be had in the 2nd and 3rd rounds of this draft that would be far better value than spending a 1st round pick on Taylor. Plus, there's something about having 3 first rounders on the starting defensive line and still not being THAT great that just makes me want to shoot myself in the face |

Carimi is a safe pick that is good value at the 21st pick. Without free agency, the Chiefs and a lot of other teams will be forced to pick for need regardless of what Pioli said in the Star today. The C and NT positions have to be addressed early on.

There are probably about 10 players I'd be fine with KC taking at 21. Carimi is one of them.

Yeah, then maybe in the 5th round the Chiefs could draft Ricky Chimpstanzi!

Charles sets rushing records and Cassell goes to the PB. Not sure RT is where I'm going in round 1.
I'd think the fact our starting WR in a playoff game was signed off the street the week before or we gave up half an hundred to the Donks would signs of more pressing needs. |
