Huge boxing PPV's usually cost more than MMA, Canelo vs GGG next month isn't finalized yet, but it'll probably be $70. On the other hand, there are maybe only 3 or 4 really big boxing PPV's a year, while the UFC usually has about 12 or 13 PPV's a year, so the price really has to be lower. Hardcore MMA fans end up spending more money than hardcore boxing fans over the whole year.

Very few of those guys deliver punches with the same footwork and technique that premier boxers do. Knocking someone stiff with 12 oz. gloves (or even the 8 oz. variants they'll use tonight) is significantly more difficult than with 4 oz. gloves. It's also much harder to split someone's guard with larger gloves, which means they have to be much more accurate punchers than MMA fighters.
