It's time to fire Reid and find someone else. Time and Time again he has shown to be totally inept. I blame him more than I blame Alex Smith now that I've had time to calm down about it.

Meh, not my favorite coach. I don't have hate for having Alex Smith. We held on to him for too long. But he brought respectability back to the franchise and gave us a playoff win.

In the end, if I'm not mistaken, Andy played a big part in the aggressive move for mahomes. And Ive never been so excited for a qb move in my entire life. He was responsive for Alex, but he's also responsible for mahomes. And when I hear Andy to talk about him, I can tell he's giddy about turning him into Brett Favre.

I won't cry if he goes. But I don't mind seeing what he can do with mahomes.

He may not be the qb whisperer people pegged him as. But I think mahomes has a lot of Favre and McNabb in him. And I'm perfectly fine grooming him to be that.

Reid is probably the best coach the franchise has had since Hank Stram. He has a lot of faults, but you aren't going to find many out there better than him.

Reid's issues come from personnel and his desire to exercise too much control over that element of the franchise. It torpedoed him in Philly, and it will get him here. That's where he needs to be reined in.

Honestly, I have mixed feelings about this.

I’m not prone to firing him because he is a winning coach and I don’t believe there is any coach out there right now that is better.

I don’t see him winning a SuperBowl. I think he will go down as one of the winningest coaches in NFL history without a Lombardi trophy. Reid’s problem is he can’t grow as a coach because he doesn’t learn from his mistakes. I like the fact that he is a winner but on the other hand his success is limited because of his coaching flaws.

I understand the Andy philosophy of years past. They had underwhelming WRs, and a poor OL, a strong defense (when healthy), and strong STs.

It was frustrating, but the philosophy made some sense.

Now, it just doesn't. I look at other teams running their offense.. and it conjures up feelings of envy.

"Andy Reid! he's so clever and wonderful!" ... Yeah, **** that.

... and IF people want to say Andy does his shit cuz teh QB iz limited"?

then it's even WORSE. Fire him for keeping this "limp dick QB" on the field then.

Except the true fan contingent who will say “look how many regular season games we won“

Andy is not going anywhere. Extension and a rookie QB playing in 18. That would be an act of lunacy even for Clark.

Reid has a severe coaching flaw in that he can’t manage the game clock well enough late in games and that puts the team in bad situations.

I can’t see how a coach with that type of coaching flaw can win a SuperBowl.

These HCs had elite units on at least one side of the ball. Also Denver got an injury ravaged Pittsburgh and NE at home, can't rely on that type of luck every year.
Andy's only chance is if the O becomes elite with Mahomes and wins despite his coaching flaws.

Odds wise Reid is not winning a SB, none in 19 attempts, what makes fans believe he will win one given a few more years?
It is very hard to win a SB, there is no slam dunk coach looking for a job to take us to the promised land. I predict 3-4 more years of Reid with this team plateauing in the AFCDG. New defensive minded HC steps in and rides an elite Mahomes to the SB.

I agree. It's time we bring in a coach like Jeff Fisher or John Fox to get this team under control. Someone needs to teach Mahomes some discipline, and how to hand the ball off more effectively.

Mother****ing Gary Kubiak won because he had Wade Phillips. Mother****ing Barry Switzer won because he took over a team that was already in dynasty mode.

Chiefs are neither of these two variables mentioned above. Yeah Reid is good enough to win a SB, so what? As are ALL 31 head coaches in the league. Heck Herm could win a SB if you give him an A+ environment,

Give Reid a Wade Phillips and the best QB in the league or a dynasty team for that matter and he’ll win.

The problem is, Reid is TOO loyal to a fault! Everybody knows Sutton is complete dogsh*t as a DC, then why does he keep him?? Fire the ****ing guy and move on and at least try to replace him with someone more competent.

I’m tired of complaining about this same bullsh*t. He’ll keep Sutton and 1,2 or 3 years later we’ll all complain about how his defences suck. What the **** is the point of this sh*t? It makes your anger go in circles.

Reid will NEVER win a SB because he is too stubborn and arrogant to not recognize nor admit to his mistakes and fix them. What good is it too root for this bs? He is an arrogant Buffon that lacks accountability and interferes with the franchises ability to grow and to develop into a true contender that Chief fans yearn for.

It’s difficult to accept this, but it is what it is.

That age old “who will you replace him with” debate.

Rehashing the trash is exactly why we are the chiefs.

Be creative look for young forward thinking coaches that are driven. Not lateral coaches who have a past track record of mediocrity.

Reid is credited by almost everyone with the development of Favre into Favre. Same with a raw QB in Philly, McMann.
Fans have recent painful memories of the Haley/Crennel/Herm/Dorsey eras.

It could get worse with a change. Until we see Reid screwing up Mahomes or not progressing, the fans are not going to revolt.

No one should be holding their breath waiting for Reid to be canned

But watching ESPN just now, Randy Moss and co all laid the fault for this one at his feet, and I didnt disagree with any of them... we're up 18-3 at home, and the #1 running back in the league ends the game with 11 carries

It was absolutely inexcusable, how anyone who has coached football for as long as he has, can forget to run the ball baffles the mind

I'm convinced he took over playcalling from Nagy once we got up by double digits, the second half has his fingerprints all over it

I think we're more of a franchise of complacency, but the point remains.

The only common thread through all these coaches and front offices is ownership.

Clark hunt has done a masterful job all these years to build a team just good enough to sell tickets. For an owner like hunt, Reid is a wet dream
