Tricky situation. Would be easy if the guy was a pure failure. The guy is basically a better version of ferentz. The ncaa version of Marty schottenheimer. If you're msu that still gets you donors and interest. And every year or so you squeak by a contender. Not great but better than bad.

Him and Stoops deserve a **** ton of credit for where the program is right now.

I think Frost is a fine coach, but he'll be Butch Jones in a few years.

Improved the program from the situation he inherited, good recruiter, wins, but doesn't live to expectations that are no longer suitable/sustainable for the program.

Nebraska is no longer a perennial national championship contender and the days of Osborne are long gone.

Nebraska is not a fertile place for recruiting unlike Louisiana, Alabama, California, Georgia, Texas.

He has a better chance at winning a NC there than UCF, but that's not likely.

I thought you were trolling. My bad.

I wasnt there obviously and I dont know him but at that time he just got into coaching and he was coaching defense IIRC? He really shined at Oregon and UCF. Nothing strikes me as "man this guy is a huge dipshit" he does have some questionable game management. He at times is too aggressive. I'll take that over guys like Reid who lose games because they arent aggressive enough. With that said they had a chance to win both games and at the end of both games the walk on QB was playing. Had the true freshman who's electric as fuck was in Nebraska easily could be 2-0.

I never expected Nebraska to be a dynasty again. Hoping they can make the playoffs a few times. I think being consistent like Wisconsin is a more realistic goal. I've seen some improvement the first 2 games compared to years past. That's why I'm not worried.

Huh?

Nebraska has been completely irrelevant for 20 years.

Not really, still the 2nd best football conference. However, all the turds they let into the conference a couple years back... fucking Nebraska, Maryland, Rutgers... they suck dick. Add in the shit teams that were already here (like every conference has) and it makes it 6 teams that perennially suck total shit (Illinois, Indiana, and Minnesota are my additions) in football.
