View Full Version : Will Everyone Now Agree our Defense is not as good as we might think

Our defense is getting drilled badly today by the Raiders running game. We cannot place all of the blame on Kurt, since player execution is just as bad as Kurt's defensive scheme.

Christopher Reeve could run on us. I don't know what's worse - our lack of running game or lack of running game defense.

Either way, we found something out today. I big, bitter pill to swallow.

We're an okay NFL defense. We just can't defense the underneath dink & dunk ****.

Kphobia:

Even an Okay Defense doesn't give up 49 points to a team. I got ripped last year for questioning the talent on defense. I probably will again.

Mark,

I have been saying all along how soft this defense is. Lew Bush, Duane Clemons, Chester McGlockton, ect were all unwanted by their former teams. It shouldnt surprise anyone that they are getting lit up week after week.

BTW: Can James Hasty tackle???

I've been calling for Schottenheimer's head since last offseason. This is why...

Mark

I have been under attack all year for saying our "D" is weak. Don't feel left out. They are young and inexperienced. They play too far off the ball and could care less about the pass.

I think the position of our players is more of a factor than their tackling form. Individually, I've seen each of our defenders tackle well with good form. However, they are ALWAYS caught out of position and can only throw an arm out to attempt a tackle. Our guys are too easily faked out and don't stay at home. As for Clemons, he usually plays real good. Today he kept rushing too deep while Gannon kept taking short drops.

We are NOT an OK defense! No defense allows more than 49 friggin points except STL and we all know how good they are.We can't tackle, we are not fast, we can't finish and Hasty is getting old.Miami is what I would call an OK defense.

http://www.ChiefsPlanet.com/ubb/mad.gif still pissed...

Cut Chester, Bush, Williams, Patton...

Hey Packfan, where you been? It must take a lot of guts to post your opinions now, after a loss.

I've said all along that the Saints would be a playoff team, the Bears would beat the Colts and Rams would lose by 20 to the Chiefs.

Gee, that WAS easy.

What a week - first Keck crawls up from the slime, now Packfan. General Ganz can't be far behind.

I'll take sh!t from any Raiders fan right now - they're certainly entitled to talk trash. But from a Fudgepackers fan? I don't think so.

You'd better worry about your own pathetic team, Ken. The way the Bears played today, I pick Green Bay for the NFC Central cellar.

When D linemen rush straight up the field, it allows the guards and tackles to get on the linebackers. That's how teams get the 7-12 yard runs against us regularly. A lot of the problem really is the scheme.

Damn, that was our D, I was sure that our special teams were out there playing against Gannon and the RB's.
