Sorry if this is the wrong format or place, but we just got word about an hour ago that one of our teachers of 15 years was killed in an automobile wreck this morning. This is ONTOP of losing a student less than a month ago.

If anyone is strongly religious enough e-mail me at dawsonpam@hotmail.com and tell me what is wrong, and how I can help my students. This town has had 6 tradegies in less than 2 years.........

Pam-

What a terrible run. Tragedy seems to come in waves until you just cannot stand it anymore. But you find the strength to stand it and the waves eventually pass. I know it seems like there is nothing but darkness until that time, but if you hold on, the light will come. You have an entire community from which to draw strength. Do that. You can draw your strength from them and they can do the same from you.

Pam,
That is tragic and I am sorry for your losses. Just keep in mind that God has a place for them and needed them for a special purpose, or they would still be there. I know it feels like you and/or they are being punished, but think of it as a special calling. There is a higher purpose that they must serve, that they could not serve here on this earth. Have faith and strength, you will continue on with your lives, and they will fulfill there destinies.<BR>

Pam:

The best cure for anyone's depression (be it from loss or something else) is to do something for someone else. Encourage the kids and parents to find someone that they can do something for. Doesn't have to be big or cost money. Amazing therapy! Keep in mind that tragedies more often than not will bring people closer together. Search for the positives that come out of these tragedies and try to focus on them. My prayers are with you all.

Pam:

This whole BB community sends out it's heart to you...

I would mention the fact that it might not hurt to put a message on the kc.com BB in hopes that the BB Chaplain might show up between maneuvers.

His answers would probably come a lot easier than mine would.

Pam,
As before, I'm sorry to hear about this, most recent loss. I'm afraid that words usually fail me at times like this but know that people DO care and you are in their thoughts and prayers.

Pam, Sorry for the loss of your colleague. It does seem that tragedy comes in bunches. One can only hope that these events help us grow into better people...
