I don't really see why quicksurfer is here anyway. Does he even talk football? That isn't a knock on him at all because he talks hockey, video games, and metal. It just seems like an odd place for him to hang out here.

While in 1 thread here at the planet, we have a poster grieving for his pet. A few jokes were made in the direction of the grieving poster and the offending posters are railed on incestantly for their actions. Yet in this thread we have a poster grieving over the loss of a pet and you have other posters saying downright despicable things against the poster and yet hardly a word is spoken of their actions. You don't see it?

However, I would point out (as you are undoubtedly aware) that the target of the bashing was the poster himself, who at the time, was comporting himself like a complete and total douche (no offense, QuikSsurfer, you've definitely turned a corner since then and I have no problem with you now) who brought the abuse upon himself. This is certainly not the only thread in which he got his balls busted early and often.

PR Capone never behaved that way.

That said, I think some pretty shitty things were posted here. But none of them were posted by me. This is my first (and hopefully last) contribution to this thread.

And this thread is obviously now very embarrassing to the original poster, who probably doesn't appreciate your using him as the object of your great big "I TOLD YOU SO" argument.

So it's okay to bash one who is grieving and not another based upon your judgement of the person. Why don't you just say your compassion lies within your predetermined popularity contest. Don't even get me started on the sacred cows arguement. This thread here proves that joking about some grieving over the loss of a pet is not a sacred cow in this community.

Like I said earlier, the thread bump wasn't for the thread starters reflection or a I TOLD YOU SO. Sometimes looking in the mirror and seeing the reflection isn't exactly the picture you have in your head of yourself can be a good thing. I'm reminded of a statement I heard a murderer in prison say one time. He said..." You know, I've always thought of myself as a good person, then one day I realized, I do belong in this place."
