The 300 Workout
I have a friend that is doing this and getting great results. I am still convinced that crossfit is probably a better option. I wish we had one here in town.
It's daunting, and includes these weight-training moves: 25 pull-ups 50 deadlifts at 135 pounds 50 push-ups 50 box jumps with a 24-inch box 50 "floor wipers" (a core and shoulders exercise at 135 pounds) 50 "clean and press" at 36 pounds (a weight-lifting exercise) 25 more pull-ups -- for a total of 300 reps There's no rest between movements and the score is based on total time. This might be a really good option for people who want to work out at home. |
I'm hangin' with yard work and decreasing 12 oz curls

Saul and I are on something similar it involves more pullups though

The leader of the Arcadians(forget his actual name) finished it in like 19 minutes or so and had the fastest time and wasn't even promoted to starring as a Spartan the guy got jipped just like the workout will do to you.

Dude, things like that.... may be better left unsaid |
I am contemplating opening up a cross-fit studio some time next year. It doesn't cost much and you could profitable within a couple months. I am still in the early stages of doing my due-diligence on it. My sister teaches advanced cross-fit.

I could start off alright, but would be smoked pretty quick.
I would think maybe doing the 150 and building up to doing a 300 would be better. |

For me that would be the .5 workout. I wouldn't get halfway through that first pull-up.
[edit] Check that. I just did 3 pull-ups. I can't remember the last time I could do pull-ups. Woohoo! Suck it Saul. ;) |
