Scholarly paper question:
I've forgotten what I need to put in my footnotes to indicate the source for a note is the same source as the one I just previously used.
For instance: 1. Bowie, David. "Life on Mars: Good Song." (Ziggy Press; London) 2001. 2. " " Anyone know? I've looked through my book, can't find it. Will positive rep for correct answer. |

authors last name, shortened title, page, usually.
2. Bowie, "Life on Mars," (page) |
Hmm, not sure but I believe you can put abbreviated information in parentheses immediately following the quote in the body of the work and put the full information in a bibliography at the end. Perhaps you could PM NewChief- he might know.

Could you not move the parenthetical information to the bottom of the page as a footnote?
|
What is "ibid you know"?

do you use ibid or id? I'm sure it depends on what citation source you are supposed to use.
