Scholarly paper question:

I've forgotten what I need to put in my footnotes to indicate the source for a note is the same source as the one I just previously used.

For instance:

1. Bowie, David. "Life on Mars: Good Song." (Ziggy Press; London) 2001.
2. " "

Anyone know? I've looked through my book, can't find it. Will positive rep for correct answer.

authors last name, shortened title, page, usually.

Hmm, not sure but I believe you can put abbreviated information in parentheses immediately following the quote in the body of the work and put the full information in a bibliography at the end. Perhaps you could PM NewChief- he might know.

Parenthetical citation and footnote citation are different forms; usually professors want one or the other.

do you use ibid or id? I'm sure it depends on what citation source you are supposed to use.
