Champ is not Champ of even 5 years ago. Sure he'll help but they can't run him like some of the schemes they used to do where he basically covered 1/3 of the backfield, and other guys could be free to get creative and you had Lynch and other DBs to roll coverage over if teams tried to flood a couple routes and draw him on the deep go or streak route to take the underneath drag or cross or bubble screens.
