Net cost of living with 100 being the US average. Anything below 100 is lower cost of living and anything above is high cost of living.

People talk about San Diego being expensive all the time. I've never heard anyone mention Phoenix being equal to San Diego in cost of living until today...and there's probably a reason for that because it simply isn't true.
Keep relying on life experience from years ago, instead of the facts from those who live here now and have learned to read research.
