It is not even close to that for median home price in Phoenix. We live in a very nice neighborhood, 2300 sq/ft house with a pool and our mortgage is under 1200/month.

Our friends live in Scottsdale in a 3b/2b house that cost under 250k.

Why do you think so many people retire here....because it's cheap!

Um so yea, you won't find that in San Diego. Your facts are wrong.
I call bs. my dad was paying more than that in Tucson and phoenix is twice as expensive. People retire there because of the percieved dry heat. When in actuallity its humid as hell during the summer. A lot of snowbirds come this way too. And my facts are life experience. ive lived out there. you couldnt pay me enough to do it again. but i did once.
