Natural talent and athletic advantage has afforded them the ability to be successful in spite of their lack of technical proficiency. Randy was the only person that could prevent him from being a success.

Point being, anyone can become a very good route runner if they dedicate to perfecting it.

Jerry Rice had fairly average measurables from an athletic standpoint, but was probably the greatest route runner and technically proficient wr in NFL history.


This exact thing is why if you play fantasy football you should reach for Julio Jones. Apparently he finally was forced to learn route running after the screw in his foot popped. I hear he is destroying people in camp.
